Polish Days

The first weekend in June is polish days at the lake.  (in Loup City) We always love to go to the parade.  The girls love to see the floats and run for the candy.  Harper especially loves to eat the candy.  We met Granny (my grandma) there to watch the festivities.  (my mom was in Spain at my cousin's wedding so we missed her attendance)  The "tub" which is a boat that has been in our family since the late 60's was in the parade this year.  It was refurbished thanks to my uncle Tim and is in the water this season for all day/night fun.  I have A LOT of memories of this boat throughout my life at the lake jumping off the top, late night rides, and great family time.  It was fun to see it shining bright in the parade.  The theme this year was "outdoor" fun and oh how I have had outdoor fun on The Tub.  I am excited for our girls to make memories on the tub too!  (Harper jumped off the top for the first time last weekend;)

The last weekend in May we spent the weekend enjoying each other and the outdoors.  Xavier, Kate's nephew, joined us for the fun along with the Reynold boys. The kids had a blast and we adults had fun watching the kids play during the day and then enjoyed our adult time when they went to bed:)  We busted out the karaoke machine and were up in the wee hours sounding like rock stars, or so we thought;)

My cousin's wife Emily works at the Durham and we were invited to the opening for their Dinosaur exhibit in May.  The girls had a great time seeing the exhibits and I had a great time sampling the food & drinking the wine;)
