Little Sister ________?

Here is a pic of your little sister _______ @ 29 weeks. We have had a few Sonograms throughout this pregnancy due to placenta concerns but at this appointment we checked out all good. She is said to be doing great and the tech even spotted some hair, which I already knew because I have heart burn like crazy. Altough that is an old wives tail, I think it rings true, because I had similar heart burn pains and you came out with a full head of hair sister. We are still throwing name ideas around. We read a Big Sister book daily and I think that you are becoming more aware that there will be a baby around soon. When your peditrician asked if you were going to be a big sister, you pointed to my belly and said baby. Your such a smart little cookie. I can't wait to see how you are with your little sister. I just know you are going to be a great big sis.

Memorial Day weekend will be spent at the lake with our family!

YAM-MA!!!

Your Yam-ma, my momma...words can't even begin to explain what a beautiful woman she is. She ADORES you. Even before you were born and in my tummy she adored you, loved you, and provided for you. Then you were born and it was only magnified. She teaches you, snuggles you, reads to you, dances with you, explores the world with you, and loves you more and more everyday. This year is a big year for your yam-ma. She turned 50 in March and graduated with her Masters in May. She also earned a Gold Star award at the school where she teaches at. (meaning she just rocks at her job too:) We are so lucky and blessed to have her in our lives. All she wants is the BEST for all of us and supports us through everything we do. Thanks yam-ma for being the best mother and grandmother a person could ask for. We love you to pieces.

ABC's

We (team Harper) have been working with you on your abc's and you are getting rather good at saying them. We can say a letter in the middle of the alphabet and you are able to state the next one that comes after that one. You don't like to say them on cue in front of a camera and definately not in front of people you don't really know too well. Here is an attempt at getting some footage of you singing your ABC's.

The Lincoln Zoo

Along with going to the Children's Museum these days, you have been frequenting the zoo. We have a duo pass so it's an inexpensive outing for you and your daddy to do during the week. Plus, if I haven't already told you yet, you LOVE animals. We have yet to take you to the BIG zoo in Omaha but we will have to do so soon before it gets so hot your prego momma can't stand to be outside. (unless I am submerged in cool water that is:) A few weekends ago the grandparents, (yam-pa and yam-ma) daddy, and I went to the zoo.

Time Out

We have this spot in the hallway where we have designated as your time out area. You really don't have to go there very often, like I can count on one hand how many times I have put you there. Lately you have been putting yourself there and doing this dramatic act of being upset about it. It's been darn funny:

2 am wake up call...

Wow, what an amazing mommy moment you gave me this morning at 2am. From the monitor we heard "mom mom mom mom mom". Half asleep I rolled over and asked Lateaf, "is she awake? or just dreaming?" He says "I think she's awake." I walk into your room and there you were sitting up in your crib saying "mom." I picked you up....you leaned in and kissed me on the lips and then snuggled your head into my shoulder.(this was extra special because you aren't usually a kisser in less we ask you for one or we "steal them:)" It melted my heart. We snuggled for a couple minutes and then I told you it's time to go to sleep. You flipped your head back like you do when you want us to put you in the crib and rolled over to go to sleep...too cute! This was one wake up call that I didn't mind being awoken for and will cherish forever!
*I should preface this story by saying that I worked late last night and didn't get to tuck you in for bed. My little mommy heart is thinking you just wanted to make sure I made it home:) Funny thing is that when I crawled in bed last night, I turned to Teaf and told him...."I miss Harper." You must have missed me too:)
