My Best Friend Amy!!!!

November 25th Amy turned a year older and I was so happy to celebrate her day with her!  This girl pictured above has been my bestest friend since I was in the 7th grade.  We had a history class together back in the day that started our 20 year friendship.  (Mr Cruz's class:)  We have spent the past 20 years on quite the adventure together!  Throughout our years we have had many laughs together and many crys together.  We have experienced lifes ups & downs and have created an ultimate bond that is unexplainably awesome!  Thank you my dear friend for an amazing friendship that can only be explained by the words "my best friend Amy."  That makes sense to me!

Christmas Tree Farm Tradition

We once again headed to the tree farm with Grandpa & Grandma Wimmer this year.  This year it was 2 days after Thanksgiving and VERY cold!  We bundled up, took the tractor ride to the trees, and quickly made our pick.  This year Harper chose our tree and it is perfect!  The tree farms were definatley impacted by our summer drought so the selection was a little sparse.  We decided to get an upgrade from the year before so the pine needles are softer and easier for the girls to hang ornaments.  We love this yearly tradition and are thankful to the Wimmer grandparents for keeping this tradition every year!

Thanksgiving eve is always spent at Uncle Randy & Aunt Jeanine's house with the Sintek family.  We always enjoy great food and great company!  Thanksgiving day we spent the day at Uncle Tom & Aunt Patti's house (no picutures were taken) :(  We are ever so thankful for our family and friends this year!

More November birthday celebration...

Ryder turned 5 same month as Harper turned 4.  Last year we were planning on celebrating together at the Amazing Pizza Machine but sickness struck both houses and we never celebrated.  This year we were determined and made it happen.  Our girls LOVE the Reynold boys and talk about them ALL the time.  Grandma happened to be visiting us so she came along for the fun.We had a blast celebrating their birthdays together!

4 year check up...

Harper had her 4 year old check up last month.  My Child Life skills have sure paid off in working with her because she is a pro at getting poked and the flu shot.  She didn't even cry this year. I can't believe how big, smart, and beautiful this girl gets every day.  She is THRIVING at school per her teacher and is becoming quite the little independent thinker.  So independent that she has to pick out all her outfits and shoes.  I am working on letting it go that she only likes certain clothes.  I must admit that I am frustrated and a bit psycho about the fact she won't wear these cute black comfortable ugg type boots with her leggings (that she chooses).  I know I know..let it go...it's not worth the power struggle thats for sure.  She amazes me each day with her sweet, kind, loving, and inquisitive soul.  Love you to the moon and back infinity Ms. Harper Sage!

Sistermoons...

This is the first time I think you have ever slept in the bed together.  A few weeks back Tom & Alex from Arizona were at the lake.  We joined them and slept at the trailor next door.  You both were convincing when pleading your case to sleep together.  It worked and you did a great job.  (minue naptime)  Your relationship continues to amaze me.  I love that you have each other!  It makes my heart smile.

Littlest peanut...

Harper got a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff from Aunt Patti for her birthday.  You have taken over most items and especially love the purse.  You are so different than your sis and love more "girlie" type items.  You love babies and can be found asleep at night holding them in your arms.  You still love to carry items around and bring them to the car when it's time to go.  Every morning I have to convince you to only take 2 items from your bed and then later only one item to the car. (nothing that was from your bed) You love to fill backpacks and purses full of things and carry them around too.  You are doing great at school and have done a great job transitioning in the moring at drop off.  You name all your classmates and teachers and I love when you say your friend "Charlie's" name.  (girl Charlie-it's just so cute in your little voice)  Of course when I get home from work you want ONLY my attention and get very upset if Harper trys to sneak some love.  You refuse to share my lap with her and want me all to yourself.  In the past month of so you have been obssessed with Grandma and will verbalize exactly which one you mean..."Grandma Dorsey"  And of course you always want someone else who is not around when you are in trouble.  You want daddy or Grandma when I alone with you and your throwing a fit.  We are working on those fits of yours.  For awhile there we were working on not hitting and spitting.  For the most part that phase is over..THANK GOD!  That was enough to drive this momma crazy.  Even though I know what the "books" say to do, being consistent is always a struggle.  Now we are onto working on using our words instead of yelling and whining.  This too shall pass.  You are a little lover and sweet as pie.  Your little dimple still shines when you smile and you amaze me with your ability to sing songs and jam out.  I love you to the moon and back littlest peanut.  Thanks for being you!

Harper's Creation..

Harper has been into building things lately.  Sometimes she uses legos or lincoln logs and other times she uses random items from around the house to create things.  This particular day I walked into the room to find her contently playing with the masterpiece she had created.  She gets so proud of her creations as do I.  After I started snapping photos, she was in the mood to be silly with the camera.  Too cute:) 

Harper turns 4...

November 14th Harper had her 4th birthday.  We brought monkey cookies to school for all her friends to celebrate.  After school we headed to Chuck E Cheese for a little pizza & fun:)  This is one of Harper's favorite spots so it was only fitting to head there for her actual birthday.  We don't go here too often so it was a special treat:)  We invited Aunt Patti along for the fun.  Afterwards we had cake and presents back at our house.  After she went to bed I sat and watched her sleep...in disbelief... that she is becoming such a big girl.
