Sissy's Birthday

March 14th marks another year this fabulous woman is in my life. My big sis is my inspiration, my light on a dark day, my shining star, my hidden gem, my sister moon. This woman right here is a true example of what a big sister is. She protects me, worries about me, sticks up for me, gets me to see outside myself, and unconditionally loves me. I cherish every moment spent with her and yearn for the next. Her presence calms me and her touch soothes me. Happy birth year to my sister moon. I love you to the moon and back infinity. She was "fake" blowing out her candles because she was sick and didn't want her germs all over the cake we were all going to eat. So thoughtful:)

Circus

A couple weekends ago Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Frank took us to the Circus. I am somewhat hypocritical about the circus. On one hand I like to see the clowns, the arcobats, and watch the tigers do the tricks, and of course I like to eat the cotton candy and watch my daughter enjoy the festivities. But on the hand I'm not a huge fan of the animals being in small cages at the expensive of our enjoyment. Hypocrite I am but Harper had a great time at the Circus hangin with the clowns, riding the pony, eating cotton candy & popcorn, and taking in all the stimulation that goes along with the production. She even got a princess light wand. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Wimmer for a fun Saturday!

we miss these litte peanuts like crazy, it's nice to be kid free for a few days. Harp & Liv are hanging with the g-rents (Dorsey) at the lake. Grandma has Spring Break so she opted to spend her days off with her favorite girlies. We will be joining them at the lake Friday night and spend the weekend seeing the sandhill cranes and chillin with our favorite peeps! Too bad the weather has taken a nose dive and it's friged cold again:( Ahh the good life:)

Tummy Time

Tummy time just keeps getting better and better. Liv is tolerating being on her tummy a lot more than previous months. It sure helps when big sis wants to join in on the fun. Soon she will be crawling and walking. Oh how we cherish the moments of life.. they fly by way to fast!

WHOOOHOOOO!!!

Spring weather is here and we are taking full advantage of it. The other night the girls and I took a stroll to the local park. On the way there Harper said "I'm so excited to go to the park" in her giddy little voice. It was Liv's first park swing experience and she LOVED it. Yippee for park time!

More basket fun:)

Aren't laundry baskets fun?

They are when two sweet girls play with them. Not so much when there is laundry in them to be folded.

7 months old

Liv Jade,
Our sweet one dimple girl. At 7 months old, you are another ray of light to our day. Since the day you were born you have changed our lives for the better in so many ways. You are an EXTREMELY happy baby. You laugh all day long and constantly look for your sister to watch her every move. You are getting to the age where you want constant attention and will holler out when you don't feel like you are being entertained enough. Once you are held or talked to, you are back to that happy girl. Nothing too much ruffles your feathers. You recently started consistently eating solid foods on a daily basis. You have been sitting up for about a month now but still tobble over from time to time. Since you haven't been a fan of tummy time your whole life, your not really ready to crawl quite yet. You have been doing significantly better on your tummy these days. Pretty much you hang on your tummy for a bit and then roll over to your back. You don't so much roll from your back to your tummy. It's because you don't like to be on your tummy, so why would you choose to roll there?! One of your new tricks is giving open mouthed kisses:) Oh how I love those!! Another one of your favorite past times is sitting on the floor with a bucket of rattles. You take them out one by one, put them in your mouth, and move onto the next. Your a big huge fan of your sister. It amazes me everyday how much you yearn for her attention and are giggly excited to watch her. She is a huge fan of you too. She likes to play hide and seek with you, dance for you, get your bottle, rattle, and binky for you. She wakes up every morning and asks where you are. When she finds you, she yells in your face "Good Morning Livia Jadey." You guys share a room and have been sleeping in that room together since we moved here 3 weeks ago. There is a door way (with no door) between the two rooms. You both go to bed at the same time everynight and wake up around the same time. (one usually wakes and the other to follow 20 minutes later) You have been sleeping through the night for quite some time now, like since you were 3 months or something. (it's glorious!!) Naps are a bit different with more inconsistency due to the events of the day but you still get around 3 hours (ish) everyday. You often spend your weekdays going to the zoo, children's museum, or playing at home. Daddy takes care of you and sis during the day while I work. The minute I walk in the door you have the biggest smile to greet me. The latest exciting news is you will be starting swimming lessons with your sis next week. Since we are at the lake all summer long we want you girls to have the safety tools instilled at a young age. (even though you have life jackets on:) Spring is pretty much here so the next months will be spent at the park, zoo, and lake. It seemed like a pretty long winter, so we are glad the weather is warming up and the daylight is longer!! Liv, I am simply in love with you, your sister, and your daddy. I couldn't be any happier.
I love you to the moon and back infinity!
Besos,
your momma

1st hair cut- 2.5 yrs

Harper had her first hair cut the other day. Our dear friend Kelly (who does my hair, my mom's and my aunt's) had the honor of "trimming" her hair. The entire drive to Kelly's house, Harper kept saying " I don't want to get my hair cut" and " I don't want to go to Kelly's to get my hair cut". I continually told her how nice Kelly is, that Kelly has a son about her age, and that we were just getting a "trim." She was apprehensive before and during, hiding her face into my chest. She finally sat up and allowed for it to happen but did not enjoy the process. Kelly had promised her a lollipop at the end. As soon as it was over she was quick to ask for that lollipop. After it was all said and done, she was a happy girl! So glad we did it.. her ends were dry and it's so much nicer to comb thru. Thanks to Kelly!

Our sweet little gems...

are the sweetest little souls around:)
We have been busy moving houses this past month or so. Yes, we are wandering nomads. This time we just wandered to a different house in the same city...no biggie. Our sweet little gems are doing great and growing each day. It's never a dull moment around these parts;)
