Notice that in the pics you are shoeless...this has been an issue for momma these past couple days since you've been walking. Up until know we just don't do shoes. Don't get me wrong we have shoes for days but they just don't work. I try to put them on you and they fall off or hinder you from getting around. You are a bear crawler and therefore have a hard time manipulating the shoes to crawl. You can do it, but just get frustrated with them. I don't blame you, I'm not a fan of shoes either. So, I have been investigating shoes for you online and hopefully we will solve this problem soon. In the meantime, I'm that mom and I'm ok with it.:)

Back to the Farmstead
You and I headed to Deanna Rose Farmstead today for an outing on this beautiful autumn day. you went on the swing, watched a worker get a goats head out of the fence (poor little goat poked his head through the fence and couldn't get it out), saw a farmer milk his cow, you pet a calf's head, and watched all the little kiddos run around. As you get older, I know you are really going to love this place.

What??? A tooth is popping up???
So your momma is CRAZY and for a long time I thought you were teething since about three months old but nothing happened. Ask grandpa D, he gives me hell about it:) I almost don't want to tell him, rather show him next time we see him. Anways, big changes are going on with you lil mamma... Not only are you walking around, but a little tooth has poked through the past couple days. It's still on the surface, but when I rub my fingers across it, there is a little sharpness to it. You are moving your mouth around knowing there is something going on inside. You are growing so fast these past couple weeks...walking, teething, and mimicking words. I love being your momma, I can't say that enough. You continue to amaze me daily.

Walk Walk Walk
You did it! You are walking around like a drunken sailor:) Acutally you are pretty cautious with your steps. It's so funny, you always have to have something in your hand while you walk. It seems to give you a sense of balance. Way to go Scoops! We are so proud of you. p.s. I am your biggest cheer leader always cheering the walk dance "walk walk walk....walk walk walk":)

10 mo's old
You are 10 months old as of yesterday and you have become such a big girl! It's crazy that just 10 months ago you were the little 8 pound baby working your way out of momma's body. I must say you were a bit stubborn to birth being your head was the wrong way, cord around your neck, and poop in your sack:) This stubborness continues to play out as your learn the world around you. I am not saying it's a bad thing, in fact, it makes you who you are. For instance, you know the things you are not supposed to get into and you turn to find whoever is with you to see if we are looking and then continue to do what your not supposed to do. The look you give is quite funny. You have a smile that lights up the whole room. You are a little sponge these days, soaking in information, and trying to mimick what is said around you. This past weekend you have mastered uh-oh (compliments of G-ma & G-pa Dorsey), "good girl", and "thank- you". I am still working VERY hard at "momma" but you continue to say "da da da da" to mimick my "momma".:) You travel to Nebraska quite often whether it's with daddy, mommy, or all three of us. There is where you play with the dogs Macey and Bailey. You giggle when you see them and do the excited dance. Although Bailey is an old girl and sometimes barks loud when you touch her, it doesn't phase you, as you will go back for more to pet her. You are SOO ready to walk! You walk all around with your walking toy and are getting better at manuvering it. You sleep about 12 hours a night and are good at going down at night on your own. We are still working on the naptime routine but I must say we've made HUGE improvement. Harper girl, I continue to be amazed by you each and everyday! I love you scoops and couldn't be more happy! Happy 10 month Birthday!

Mad Cart lady
When you are tired, it's all over. You have some serious melt downs when things are not going your way. Melt down city! I have a feeling we really haven't seen all that you are capable of doing when it comes to this, but for now, let's just say it ain't pretty. As of late there are times when you are pushing your walking toy, and darnit when it runs into something, you have a melt down. You haven't figured out how to back it up and you even don't give us a chance to get over to you before you have a semi-melt down. Sorry baby girl but I had to film the progression of the play session because it started out on a happy note and ended with you going nite nite:

***Notice the onsie...compliments of Grandpa Frank. Let's hope he builds you a hot rod:)

Bows on Fros
Ok, so I don't why I titled it that but it's sort of the truth honey bunches. You've got a fro goin on. When I pick it out before putting it in piggy tails it stands up pretty high. I am not much of a girly girl and I guess I've never really been one. I am more now than I ever was my entire childhood, in the sense that I wear jelewry, dresses and skirts, and once in awhile get my hair cut:) I recieved this ginormous pink bow as a present for you. When I mean GINORMOUS that really comes down to a failry big bow to those folks who actually wear GINORMOUS bows. I have seen some crazy bows on kids these days and it kinda freaks me out. I have yet to muster up the courage to have you wear this particular bow in public cuz I think it looks quite silly. I mean you look really cute as always, but it just seems bizarre like your some sort of Birthday present for someone. And you know what sister, it ain't happenin, your all mine! So yesterday I had you dressed in one of my favorite summer outfits, compliments of Aunt Patti, and thought to my self "this is a fu fu girly outfit maybe I should try out the GINORMOUS pink bow." Here are the results:

Needless to say you didn't wear it in public. Not because I didn't go in public, but because I just couldn't do it. And now that I think about it, we already get enough attention wiht your big blue eyes. Maybe when your big enough to decide your own attire than it will be ok. I just couldn't put us through it:)

Daddy's lil girl
Your daddy loves you so much. I am able to confidently say that because I see his actions with you. He has pure unconditional love and dedication for you. It's really fun to watch him interact with you, love you, and take care of us day in and day out. He takes you for walks, protects you from harms way (he is always thinking about how we can child proof our home), sings to you, gets on the floor and plays with you, rocks you, teaches you new things, feeds you, and meets your needs in every way possible and then some. Harp, we are blessed gals to have him in our lives! Thanks Lateaf for being such an amazing daddy and partner:)
