To the mountains we go...

Thursday June 24th we packed up my parents Expedition and headed to Colorado. We decided to drive through the night, so we departed Lincoln around 11:00pm. I had to work that day and we needed to be in the mountains by 4pm the next day so overnight driving was the best option. We traded turns throughout the night making it less painful for just one person. Grandpa & Grandma Dorsey and the four of us squeezed ourselves in tightly. Liv slept the entire trip (even when we stopped) and Harper slept but awoke at every stop. We arrived at Scott & Merris' house (our good friends) in Denver around 5am mountain time. The thing about it was that the girls were ready to go once we arrived and the adults all needed a few extra hours of shut eye. I volunteered to stay awake and entertain. ( I was a walking zombie;) About noon we headed to the mountains....

Grandma & Grandpa had a wedding to attend at Breckenridge. We all stayed at a friend of Scott's condo in Frisco. While the rents were at the wedding, Scott and the four of us headed out to check out the town of Frisco....

and then hunkered down at the condo after a long trip...

Recapping...

Memorial Day Weekend...

We spent the weekend at the lake of course. We fished, played, ate good food, drank good drinks, and were together as a family. What is better than that? Kate's nephew Xavier joined us on Saturday and had a blast playing with the kids and taking his first boat ride. Life is good here in the "good life." Wanna visit?:)

We did it!

We are officially Mr. and Mrs. King. June 15th, 2011 marks the day we legally comitted to spending the rest of our life together. We had a small get together with about 30 people at a local state park here in Nebraska (Mahoney). We rented two cabins and had dinner and cake after the judge married us by a quiant little pond bridge area. It was all planned in about two weeks ish and I even had a bouquet. Funny thing is when I went to the flower shop 3 days before the wedding day the florist looked at me like I was nuts and said "your getting your flowers for your wedding three days before hand?" My response "yep." He probably said it like he did because I had NO idea what I was doing. But, in the end we had flowers:)

The only glitch to the day was our little Liv was sick with 104 fevers. During the ceremony she was like a noodle laying in my mom's arms. Afterward we rushed taking pictures so we could get her inside and break her fever. It was rather hectic there for a minute with a few tears shed on my part for our sicky baby and a phone call to the nurse line. Luckily we were among family and friends so everyone was helpful and my mom was a great host while I was tending to our peanut. My sis took over so I could spend time with everyone and eat Popeyes fried chicken. We had this for the food in memory of my grandma Lucille Schuett. She LOVED Popeyes. We even had cake and did the traditional cutting of the cake! After cake most went home and a few stayed for beverages;) and a game of dominos. It was a very fun and simple day. I must say there was something special about looking Lateaf in his eyes and telling him that "I do" pledge to be his wife, stick by his side, and live the adventures (good and bad) with him until the day I die.

T and K adventures forever! Thanks to everyone for a memorable "wedding" celebration. We did it!!:)

June has been SUPER eventful and crazy busy. I am completely exhausted and don't really have the energy to recap events quite yet. All has been good and I will share soon. In the mean time I'll share pictures of our cutie pies:)

Bubbly Toes...

Whenever we play bubbles it reminds of me of this Jack Johnson song:

It's as simple as something that nobody knows
that her eyes are as big as her bubbly toes
on the feet of the queen of the hearts on the cards
and her feet are all covered with tar balls and scars...
It's as common as something that nobody knows
that her beauty will follow where ever she goes
up the hill in the back of her house in the wood
She'll love me forever, I know she could....

Harp loves playing with bubbles, I mean what kid doesn't. These past couple summer weekends playing with bubbles have been a favorite past time. It's so fun to watch the kids popping bubbles. The dogs even love it. (and the adults too:)
