Whispering Grass

When trying to design your room I was constantly on the internet searching for the perfect fit. I came across this fabric, Whispering Grass, and instantly decided this was it! All of the plants in this print are native to the California redwood coast. None of them were planted, they just grow of their own accord. This is symbolic in so many ways, and although you were not "planned" or "planted", you came to us as a blessing and we couldn't be more happy to have you in our life!! And of course we're both suckers for California and actually visited the redwood forrest together on an amazing trip. Your tia Antonia gave us the fabric as a gift and your Aunt Kate created the curtains and blanket. Here are pics from the curtain experience:

Rice Cereal??!!

Yesterday marks the 1st time your little mouth ate some rice cereal:) Not sure how you felt about it. You were unsure at first but didn't deny the spoonfuls that kept on coming. Throughout the process we learned to keep the spoon at your mouth because you had an easier time taking it all in with that technique. Your Aunt Kate is here with us in Kansas to enjoy the experience and of course capture pictures. As I write this blog she is diligently making curtains for your room.... Thanks Aunt Kate, your the best!!! ps. check out the 5th picture... you already have your daddy wrapped around your little finger:)

A week at G-ma & pa's house...

For the last week you have been slumbering at your Grandparents house in Nebraska. For three of those days you were without your mommy and daddy. Your grandma D came and picked you up from Kansas and took you to hang out with them over Spring Break. While mommy and daddy were at work, you were having a blast! You visited your great grandma in Omaha, witnessed your Aunt Shannon get married, and were adored for days straight by lots of your family. We came down on Friday to hang out for the weekend and bring you back home. Here are some pics of Aunt Shannon's wedding...I'm so glad you were able to be apart of it:)

Sunny Days..

Spring is near and the weather is starting to warm up. I'm excited to start hanging outside with you. You are getting to be such a big girl. One of my favorite part of the days is when I wake up in the morning to you laying in your co-sleeper bed talking up a storm. Its the best! You are just babbling away holding your feet. I LOVE IT. What a sweet sound to start my day. Maybe one of these days I'll catch it on video.
