It seems like Mother's Day was forever ago so here is a little photo dump from that weekend. We tilled and planted our garden, fished, and spent time together.  Liv rode the four wheeler for the first time that weekend and she was so proud of herself as was I.  Always a great time had at the lake:)

Sick day

The girls were sick a few weeks back on a Monday.  I had the pleasure of staying home with them which is always a special treat for a mom only day.  This particular sick day did not feel sick at all:)  Harper had pink eye (which ended up being viral and not contagious) was the main reason we had to stay home.  They both had coughs so I decided to keep Liv home too since we had to be home for Harper.   Sick day did not feel "sick" because instead of laying around watching movies all day, they had all this energy to play.  We played with play dough, built forts, played instruments, took silly pictures, etc.  We did get a few short movies in and took a nap.  It was a good day of playing hooky:)

This month has just flown by in front of my eyes.  We have done a lot of things this month but I can't seem to get a handle on documenting everything:)  We started going out to the lake again and went the past couple weekends.  We (all of us) love going out there.  We planted our garden and "tend" to it, fish, and play our hearts out.  The majority of our summer weekends are spent out there and it is perfect.  We are away from technology and everyday life demands.  We have the opportunity to just be together amongst the beauty of the land & water.  The best part about it for me is watching the girls play in a "free" environment where their imagination is stimulated and life lessons are learned from family.  Love it!    

Preschool Field Trip

I joined Harper's class for their field trip to the zoo a couple weeks ago.  I opted not to ride the bus for two reasons.  1. I jetted to work right after the trip & 2.  Have you rode on a school bus lately?  It is a bumpy make you wanna puke ride.  I don't ever remember school bus trips making me feel sick.  Guess thats a sign of getting old or something.  Harper loved hanging out with her friends that are boys.  She partnered up with her buddy Richmond (& his mom) and then we were in charge of two other boys.  Our class stayed together for the most part.  The other class split up which I thought kinda defeated the purpose of taking a class trip together.  Anyways, our class had a blast at the aquarium, gorillas, and tigers.  It was lunch time for all the tigers so we were ever so lucky to see them being fed bunnies for lunch- GROSS!  It's kinda funny that she has no interest in hanging with the girls in her school.  She would much rather run with the boys.  She's our little tomboy thats for sure.
